Frozen Delights at ‘Cherry Comet’

Cherry Comet is a unique Ice-cream parlor located in DLF Cyber Hub, Gurgaon. Like most traditional ice-cream where the product is kept for days or even months, Cherry Comet creates ice-cream to order. Therefore there are no samples to taste! The concept of flash freeze with the use of liquid nitrogen is quite popular around the world. But this is the first parlors in the city to use this technology. The raw ingredients are mixed with milk solids till it forms a thick creamy consistency. The mixture is then pours in the specially designed machines along with liquid nitrogen (at -196 degrees) which instantly freezes it to form fresh creamy ice-cream. The outlet would soon be expanding to other parts of Delhi NCR.

The most important bit is the experience to see your ice-cream being created infront of you. The menu comprises of a variety of different ice-creams. Some of them are just unimaginable like the Deep Purple, an ice-cream created out of fresh Jamun fruit. Though you can also go for different mix and matches to suit your taste buds.

Tried almost all the ice-creams from Mango Man to Peanut Butter Flutter. My favorites would be the Boomerang (a bubble gum flavored ice-cream) and Banarasi Punch (a fresh Pan ice-cream). Both these are a must try! The Banana Mud Slide and Gulaab-E-Lychee needs a special mention as the flavors were out of the world. But the Sun&Sand wasn’t that great as the flavors of the coconut were very mild and didn’t go well with Pineapple. Also the Horlick Hustle needed a little more sugar. All these ice-creams can also be tried in a waffle or on a waffle. The service is pretty good but the outlet has only limited seating arrangements inside the store.

    Nice, I like the technique which you use to make Ice Cream. But the draw back I found is that you can’t taste. There should be permissions for taste before any order that’s why after any delivery there is no reason for any type of complaint.
