Smokey’s BBQ and Grill, DLF Cyber City, Gurgaon
Smokey’s Barbeque and Grill recently opened it’s doors for the public at Cyber Hub, Gurgaon. They already have an outlet in GK2 and are known for their American Barbeque and Grills along with their European Cocktails. The seating arrangement is comfortable and the ambiance is re-energized by the sound of great music in the air. The music comprises of Trance, Rock and Pop music.
The recently added the bar facility and their liquor menu is extensive. We started of with Lock, Stock and a Smokin’ Barrel which had a very unique flavor from smoked Pineapples and vanilla pod. Very unique. The Watermelon Kill was a killer in terms of taste. The flavor of the fresh watermelon was soothing to the buds. Great to try!
For starters we had Loaded Potato Skins. The Potato’s were baked in cheddar cheese with the outer skin. The flavor of the crisp potato along with the sour cream and cheese was just amazing. A must try! The Corn and Cheddar triangles came with the blue cheese dip. The filling was very interesting but the blue cheese dip was a little overpowering with the combination.
The Smoked Colada was an experience of a lifetime. The colada was a blend of smoked Pineapple with fresh cream and came with an Umbrella and Orange zest!! Smokey’s has an amazing range of Fruit juices and mocktails. The Raspberry and Orange cooler was tasty.
At Smokey’s you can also try their amazing range of salads. We tried the Smoked Red Wine and Poached Pears salad. The salad comprised of soft asparagus, lettuce and Pears. The salad was tossed in smoked Red Wine and finished with Guava glaze and Raspberry emulsion. Both the Guava glaze and Raspberry emulsion had the salad its distinct sweet after-taste. Amazing combination and amazing presentation.
The Main course comprised of Curried Vegetable Burger. The 6 inch burger was one of its kind and the patty was delicious and went really well with the soft bread. The madras curry powder made all the difference between any burger and this one. The burger was so big that a knife had to be put to hold it and cut it into smaller pieces. A must try!
The other item in the main course was Spinach and Ricotta Ravioli. The Ravioli were tossed with a fresh tangy tomato based sauce along with green and black olives. The spinach and ricotta were meshed together to form an irresistible stuffing. The combination was just delicious.
We also tried their B-52 not a name of a tank but an item that bursts with flavors. Kahlua spheres played a key role in it. The Royale drink had indeed a royal presentation.
Like every happy meal ends with a Dessert this one was no different. The Mud Pie made from sticky chocolate and a scoop of vanilla ice-cream was mouth-watering.
