Sleeper class and my finger

Let me tell you first that I never travel by sleeper class, its not that I can only afford anything better but its because I cannot spend a single minute with temperatures above 30 C, ya that’s true. But this time while going home I hoped that travelling by sleeper class would be a nice idea after keeping away from it for a few years and hoped that we would find ‘cool’ weather. But these Indian summers even in the month of October the temperatures were above normal. But with my friend’s grace we somehow got tickets in sleeper class (festive season) , that too waiting tickets. Ok what’s the big deal? It’s a big deal, because I would have taken a flight and would have spent almost 3 more days at home.

God had different plans for me. I soon as I got myself sited on my RAC(somehow) seat and tried to open the window. Lightening stuck me. My index finger got stuck by the heavy window. I couldn’t realise for a minute if that finger existed. I wanted to scream at the top of the voice because I found that little embarrassing. The finger turned blue-black in few seconds and swelled into a balloon. I somehow managed to get cold water from the near-by stall. God… the finger was burning like hell. I could only curse myself.

Plans are meant to go crazy. We have already discussed that. That’s not all. I found sleeper class filthy and ultra non-hygienic. I don’t want to remember the journey and write here to make you feel disgusted too. I can only tell you that at the end of the journey I smelled like rotten-shit (shit!!) and the 1st thing I did when i reached home… was to take a long flowery smelling bath. And took a long sleep… literally speaking I spent most of my next few days sleeping.

(Note : I took a pledge not to travel by sleeper class again (ever!!), not even on the coldest day possible.)

—>(In response to uncommon sense)Its not that we Indians all of a sudden want to act rich but its just that the enviornmnet around us is becoming too crowdy and unhygenie that we are trying to spend more than we can for the basic needs.
I really hope the Govt. and each one of us realizes to act sensibly before its too late.
