My India…

All these years I have been wondering of a developed India and the 5 most important things that would take us to the path of development :-

 India

India
1) Education for all – Its been a while since our politicians preached this even the ‘Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan’ has a long way to go. Reservation to any kind of education at any level is a doom. It should be mandatory not reserved. We are indeed compromising on the merits. The 1st things to start with would be to have at least one secondary school in every village of India. Only when the children of this country are educated will this country be able to compete with others. India is at 124th among all countries in Literacy rate with 61% of its people being educated.

Example to follow – China, where education till 9 years is mandatory and sponsored by the government.

2) Corruption Free- Even the most developed country is not free from corruption. India boosts corruption at all levels of Indian bureaucracy. Bribes is like salary to police, lawyers, etc and the actual salary their bonus. If corruption is stopped, India would be a developed country in a decade. This is a dream and hard to materialize because the most corrupt people are the ones who make these laws. India is at 85th on the Global Corruption Perception Index.

Example to follow – Denmark, which is corruption free and transparent in almost all government activities.

3) Food – Its been a while since the Green revolution and Operation Flood got over. But still half of Indian children suffer from malnutrition. Almost all our food product are being made from synthetic products. It would be hard to check every food we eat.  So India need to produce only fresh food products may it be vegetables, fruits, dairy products, packaged food etc. We should stop eating synthetic and genetically modified products.

Example to follow – many European countries where GM crops and use of any synthetic product are banned.

4) Infrastructure – Roads , bridges, dams, are the key for intra country logistics. Every year millions of Indians are affected by floods alone. Still our governments are in push back stage. State governments blaming central government and vice-versa. No country can develop if its infrastructure and expansion of existing infrastructure is not in place.

Example to follow – US of A , where spending on infrastructure is more than the entire GDP of India.

India
5) Employment – One of the key success parameters for any country. Only when people are employed they spend. Only when they spend the whole system runs. If there is a accumulation of wealth at a point, the economy would not run smoothly. Its important to increase the living standard of the people and get back the money back into the system through employment. Unemployment rates are increasing every year in India.

Example to follow – Thailand , which boasts one of the lowest unemployment rate among all countries.

No country is perfect , only the citizens of India can make it perfect and developed in true senses. Lets not waste any time to make India glorious again.
