Mouth-watering Appetizers at ‘Wareabouts Grill & Lounge’
‘Wareabouts Grill and Lounge’ is divided into two parts, one floor catering to buffet and the other an open lounge. Situated on the Outer Ring Road just steps away from Bangalore’s first mall, Innovative Mall in Marathalli. We choose to have a buffet here. The ambiance is rustic with wooden settings and the lamps with dim lights enhances the decor. Wareabouts buffet includes a live grill on the table.
There are a variety of items on the grill like tandoori aloo, tandoori mushrooms, broccoli, tandoori paneer besides others. There are other starters as well like the grilled pineapple, Vegetable potli, Salsa Potatos, Panner Papad, Crispy Corn and Raw Banana Cutlet. The Grilled Pineapple was sweet and juicy. The Vegetable Potli with corn, spinach and cheese really stands out and is served with sweet chilli sauce. The Salsa Potato was actually topped with homemade salsa and sour cream, delicious. The Paneer Papad had Paneer fingers topped with fried papad, fantastic. Wareabouts had the best Crispy corn I have tried in a while. The Raw Banana Cutlet was so-so.
Wareabouts have 2 live grill counter, the Chaat Counter and the Icecream Counter. We tried the Spinach Chaat and the Papdi Chaat from the Chaat Counter. Both the chaats were fantastic. The Spinach and the Papdi were still crispy even after topped with curd and chutneys. To accompany the starters we were given a beautiful complementary mocktail made with rose syrup and orange on frozen crushed ice.
We then moved to the main course. Some of the curries included Paneer Butter Masala, Dal Fry, Mixed Veg, Palak Kofta Curry, Katte Ki Sabzi, and many more. You can choose between a variety of breads including plain roti, naan, butter roti and so on. The Misti Pulao was aromatic and delicious. The buffet also had the Vegetable Biryani. Again very aromatic and fantastic in taste, served with raita. The where 4-5 salads to try from, a soup and plenty of side-dishes.
There is a range of desserts like mini Gulab Jamoon, Gajar Ka Halwa, Malpua, Cakes and many more, just waiting for you to savor. The best dessert was ofcourse the mini Gulab Jamoon, soft and just melted in the mouth. You can also mix and match your icecream at the live counter, with things like chocolate sauce, tutty-fruity, jams etc.
Wareabouts service was flawless and the buffet carries a great value for money.
