Great Buffet at ‘Holy Flames’

Holy Flames is situated only a few meters away from the Purva Riviera in Marathalli, Bangalore and is part of the Cartier Hotel. Holy Flames is famous for its buffets along with their live counters and on-the-grill items. The ambiance is neat and soon there would be an option to dine near the pool side with their ala-carte menu. The wooden light frames looks like stars from a distance. The menu for the entire buffet is changed every few weeks making sure customers keep flocking in.

We were treated with a guava based juice as soon as we arrived and soon the grill was placed on the table. Some of the grill items included Panner Tikka, Pineapples and even guava, broccoli, tandoori aloo and so on. The best were the Tandoori Aloo whereas the Panner Tikka was made from soft cubes of marinated cheese. The other appetizers were corn salt and pepper; and Veg Cheese Balls. The appetizers comes with a variety of sauces and a green chutney. We were also given a Cindrella mocktail as part of the buffet. The other mocktails we tried were a Rose syrup based drink and Fresh Lime Soda.

Next we tried the live grill counter were you can get a variety of noodles, pastas and much more. You can customize the vegetables as per your need. The chef on the counter was really experienced and made a fantastic pasta out of the veggies we suggested by us including sprouts. The experience of watching your food getting cooked was even more amazing as the pasta was made on a flat surface. A must try counter!!!

Tried the Chaat Counter next which had chaats like Paani Poori, Dhai Papdi, Papdi Chaat and so on. The Paani Poori were delicious and the water was tangy and spicy. The Dhai Papdi was decent as well. The poori could be a bit crispier as they lost their crispiness by being in the open.

Holy Flames has a wide range of main course dishes as well. The simple steamed rice and Dal Fry took my breath away. It’s great to see how simple flavors can amaze you. The Dal Fry was simply fantastic. The other veggies on the spread included Hyderabadi Vegetables, Jeera Aloo, Panner Masala, Kadi Pakodi and Corn Pulao. The Hyderabadi Vegetables was another delicious item. You can choose from a wide variety of Indian breads. There is even a wide range of salads to choose from.

Next we moved to the desserts counter and tried the cream roll, vanilla cake, Moong Dal Halwa, Petha, Raas Malai, Gulab Jamun, Strawberry Jelly, Mango Pudding, fresh fruits and so many more. The Cream Roll was one of its kind topped with jam. The Raas Malai was simple as if made at home. There is even a live Icecream counter where you can tweak the regular icecreams with things like kulkand, nuts, tutti-frutti, etc. Had a tutti-frutti and vanilla icecream along with kulkand and nuts. The icecream came out to be one of its kind.

The service is great at Holy Flames. The buffet turned out to be amazing with great value for money. Visit Holy Flames for amazing live counters and delicious desserts.
