Inspired by a billion foodie – Nukkadwala
Nukkadwala is inspired by a billion foodies like you and me. Having its base in the Vatika Business Park, Sohna Road, Gurgaon the outlet is known to sell Indian street food. Have been to this place since the day it opened. With wooden table and benches it looks like a modern nukkad shop but lacks the comfort of modern furniture. The ambiance is interesting with large pictures on the sides with colorful lights. The outlet is selfservice only.
The best item on the menu is their Cutting Chai which has a generous amount of ginger. Do try the cake rusk which is an absolute delight. The combination is a must have keeping in mind that the item has a great value for money. The Howrah Veg Cutlet took me straight to the streets of Kolkata. The cutlet comes with kasundi or mustard sauce. Loved it again. The Kutchi Dabeli is a bit different than usual as it didn’t have peanuts or pomegranate seeds. But all and all having Dabeli in Delhi came as a delight. The Amchi Vada Pav was damn spicy as it had a large green chilli at the center. Do remove the chili for milder flavor.
The Panki was a bit milder in flavor. Loved the presentation of the dish but didn’t like the taste so much. Could have been better. The Bibinca was another disappointment and the taste didn’t excite my taste buds.
The items has great value for money and the menu has been designed to keep the nearby office folks stirred. The place is a super hit since day one and is jam packed during lunch hours. Houseflies is a big problem inside the outlet and hopefully the issue would be resolved soon.
A mixed bag but great value for money.
