Kasauli Regency Hotel, Kasauli, Himachal Pradesh

The Kasauli Regency hotel is located on the road to Kasauli if your coming from Dharampur. The Boutique hotel is approximately 2 kms away from Kasauli which makes it a strategic important. The hotel is far from the bustling Kasauli and at a serene location. The room had tea maker, heater, a swing among other things. The rooms may be a little small to roam around. The bed was good and the sleep quality was average because of the stairs near the room. The hotel also houses games like pool, fuss ball, carom and Table Tennis, complimentary for their guests. The staff members were very warm and courteous.

The roof top bar and restaurant ‘Hangout’ is a must visit if you plan to give someone a special night while at Kasauli. The ambiance and view from this restaurant is amazing. Loved the music being played here. On some special occasions the bar also houses a DJ. Hangout is a one stop to hangout in Kasauli. The roof top bar cum restaurant is just amazing. Being on the roof top the view from this place is serene. The restaurant is not covered so it might be impossible to stay long during winters. The bar and seating arrangement is beautiful. The lighting on the bar is very low. The staff also organizes bon-fire during Winter’s.

The liquor on the bar may be limited, but Hangout is probably the best place to drink. We also tried Coco Colada or Virgin Colada as mocktail. The drink was perfect. Peanuts are served complimentary to the drinks. The staff members were very warm and courteous. The music and the ambiance goes hand in hand here. We also ordered the Chilli Baby Corn, the dish was far from being perfect and the Baby corn still had that raw frozen flavor.

The food at Kasauli Regency is average again. Loved their Stuffed Parathas dish. The Mushroom Malai Tikka was so so. The Fried Rice and Vegetables in Garlic Sauce was probably the best combination. We also tried a variety of Indian curries like Navratan Korma, Dal Fry and Veg Jalfrezi. All the curries were great.The Kashmiri Pulao was too much flavored with Rose water/essence.

Overall Rating is 6.75/10.

Overall a good stay at Kasauli Regency. The food especially the starters were disappointing.
