First ever Helicopter Ride
Most of us have had few/many airplane rides, but recently I got a chance to be part of a Helicopter ride. No I was not being saved from any rescue operations. In fact I booked it myself for a ride from Katra Helipad to Mata Vaishno Devi Temple, Sanjichatt Helipad. The helicopter ride takes almost 3-4 minutes for the entire journey started a few months back. The cost per person per side is around a thousand bucks. The Helicopter’s fan never stops so you need to board it while the fans are at full throttle.
This makes the surrounding area very windy. It might feel you may be thrown away by the gusting winds. It’s a little difficult to walk because of the winds and the noise created by the fans. But once on board the best part is just awaiting. It’s incredible when the Helicopter lifts up and starts the journey. The pilot has a central joystick to control all the movements of the chopper. The journey is exciting.
The Helicopter is different than an airplane in many ways. Firstly it is quite smaller and the other distinctive difference is that the helicopter is open on 2 sides and in some even the top is open. Due to this the journey is fun-filled. As it advances everything seems to shrink and the world looks very beautiful from the top.
Hope you have enjoyed the ride. I have not experienced the ride yet. Lucky you.
I enjoyed it the most…. love to ride again..
very happening place always feels me happy to visit always.
