The menu comprises of some of the best wazwan’s from Kashmir that are prepared only during special ceremonies. The dishes from this alluring land can be experienced till 21st of December, 2018 at Jalsa Gold. We tried our hands on the Wazwan ourselves and were amazed by its authenticity. You can choose between the Veg and the Non-Veg Wazwan which comes in a preselected meal option at a pocket friendly price.

The Veg Wazwan comprises of dishes like Nadru Tikki made from Lotus Stem. The taste was unique but a bit dry for my palate. The Panner Tikka was spot on, the smoky tandoor flavor had sipped right in. Among the curries we tried the Panner Chaman, Nadru Yakhni (Lotus Stem), Dum Aloo Kashmiri, Chuk Wangan (Brinjal), Gogji (Shalgam) and Kashmiri Rajma. All the curries were authentic Kashmiri in flavors as they were not high on masalas or a particular flavor. What stood out the most was the Kashmiri Rajma and the Chuk Wangan. While the Rajma was made in desi ghee which gave it a sweet taste, the brinjal curry was sour and spicy. The curries are best tried with white rice or Roghani Roti. For dessert we had the traditional Seb Phirni. Not overly sweet, just perfect with a lot of saffron!

The Non-Veg Wazwan comprises of dishes like Tabak Maaz and Rogan Josh among others. Overall, your soul will be transferred straight to Kashmiri. The wazwan’s are on the heavier side, so make sure you have plenty of room to stuff in. This is indeed the most authentic wazwan’s we have tried so far, so don’t miss it! The price of this Wazwan are as follows:

Lunch: Veg: 799 ++, Non-Veg: 899++

Dinner: Veg 899++, Non-Veg: 999++
