Best Sunday Brunch of Bangalore at Melange
Melange at Radisson Blu is an assortment of different flavors, dishes and tastes. Located on the Outer Ring Road near Marathalli, Bengaluru this luxury hotel can cater to all your needs. We went to taste their Sunday Brunch which happens between 12 to 4pm at Melange. Melange recently went through renovation and has now opened its doors again. The revamped restaurant looks stunning with a much wider space and open kitchen. The décor is colorful and the ambiance is lively! The buffet also houses a Magician, tattoo artist, balloon artist among others to entertain.
The buffet at Melange is nothing less than a carnival. With dishes from across the world this is truly a holistic experience. The Buffet comprises of a number drinks like Aam Panna, flavored Ice Tea and many more. We tried their Ginger Lemonade and the Cucumber Cooler. Both the drinks were super refreshing and had unique tastes of their own. We also tried their Mojito from the bar which was lemony and minty.
Melange has a wide array of starters and appetizers like the Mexican Rolls, Spring Rolls, Seekh Kebab, Spinach Roll, Sandwiches and many more. The Mexican Roll was different than what we have tried at other places. It was a combination of Mexican rice with other crunchy veggies. For the Spinach Roll the presentation was done neatly. The crunchy outer layer was wrapped over cheesy spinach. While the sandwiches can be custom made as per your liking’s.
On the Indian appetizer side, we tried their Chola Bhatura, Puri Sabzi, Chaats, Momos, Chowmein and more. These were part of the live counters and the Chola Bhature reminded me of the streets of Delhi. The Chaats counter rolled out plenty of chaats like Papri Chaat, Pani Puri and so on. The chaats again had all the authentic flavors which will take you on a culinary ride. The chowmein was spicy and sweet at the same time. We tried the Chowmein with the Spicy gravy of mixed vegetables.
Since Melange is an assortment of dishes from around the world. We found plenty of such dishes like Sushi from Japan, Mezze Platter from Middle-East, Cheese Platter from Europe and plenty of salads from rest of the world. The Sushi was excellent with carrot and cucumber at the center. The buffet also had a whole section for healthy Indian salads. Melange is an excellent place for families, kids and elderly. The staff takes good care of all your needs. Since we went here with a small kid the Chef was kind enough to make kichadi for the little one; which was simple yet amazing in taste.
Not to forget the spread for the main course is even larger. We tried couple of Indian curries like Paneer Pasanda, Dal Makhani, Ghar ki Dal, Bhendi ki Sabzi, Pakodi Ki Kadhi and many more. The Dal Makhani was probably the best out of the lot. And not to mention the Pakodi ki Kadhi was excellent as well. You can try these curries with a variety of breads. On the other side, we also had the Hyderabadi Biryani with salan and raita.
At Melange, desserts take a center stage and a whole section is dedicated to it. Whether it is Indian or continental you can find your favorite dessert here. The Baked Gulab Jamun with Rabri was our favorite. The combo was pure bliss and just melted in the mouth. We also tried their Red Velvet brownie, Rosagulla and pastries.
The hospitality at Radisson Blu needs a special mention as we were totally taken aback with the warmth of all the staff members. Hats off to Chef Gulzar and his team for this beautiful spread. And thanks to Mr. Digvijay for taking care of all our needs.
