Shift – A complete restobar

Shift is a combination of co-working space in one floor and a terrace lounge in another with a huge bar. Located in the heart of HSR layout, Bangalore, this space is just above House of Commons (HOC). The ambiance of this roof-top lounge restobar is the main attraction and you see a part of the city’s topline from here. The seating arrangement comprises of sofas, high chairs among others. The décor is rusting with a lot of use of iron. They even have Sheesha to appreciate the whole atmosphere.

At Shift you can explore some really amazing drinks and we ordered few like the Purple Haze, Mai Tai, Mojito or Acharoska. The Purple Haze is created with the use of Black Currant syrup and the taste is fantastic. At Shift the classic creations like Mai Tai or Mojito are something not to be missed. But if you’re looking to try something totally quirky then try their Acharoska, a drink made out of Achar, yes pickle!!

At Shift you can experience a variety of cuisines like Indian, Chinese, Continental and even Italian. We tried a number of appetizers like the Chaddi Spuddie. Potato Wedges are topped with cheese and baked for the perfect bite. Next, we had the Cigaro, this dish is in the shape of Cigar or crispy rolls with pizza stuffing. The taste is really insane, and we devoured all the cigars in a matter of minutes. Musht Have came next, roasted garlic bread are topped with cheese and sautéed mushroom and then baked in oven. A bite and you cannot stop eating!

Some of the crazy innovation include a dish called Dipspacito. A dip is created with chunks of pepper, mushroom and spinach added along with cheese. This dip is served with garlic bread. This is just too good to resist. The Shrooms and Pods is yet another mushroom dish. Mushrooms are sautéed with garlic and is served with garlic bread. If you are a mushroom fan this dish is a must try! For pizza lovers we tried ‘From the Farm Pizza’. This thin crust pizza is topped with onions, spinach, capsicum and jalapenos with a number of cheese. This gave this dish a unique flavor.

At Shift there are three desserts on the menu and we tried them all. The Coconut Malibu Panacotta is completely irresistible. The soft coconut panacotta just melts in the mouth. This is even super light on the stomach. The Nutella Pancake with Mapple Syrup is for Pancake lovers with the goodness of Nutella. But, don’t miss the Jok-e-Shai, a unique dessert made with Jamun with a hint of rich condensed milk or rabri on the bottom. This is truly a Shahi experience!
