Jus’ Trufs – The Chocolate House & Cafe

Jus’ Trufs was initially started as a chocolate house and corporate gifting, but soon expanded to a cafe as well. The café is located in Jakkur area of Bangalore and is housed in a huge building that cannot be missed even from a long distance. The cafe not only specializes in chocolates but also with baked products, burgers, sandwiches, shakes and much more. The ambiance is cozy with wooden chair and tables and little music in the air. You can spend a couple of hours here chit-chatting with family and friends.

The menu is very interesting as it is curved out of family dishes. We also tasted a couple of chocolates like the 60% dark chocolate and the sea salt chili chocolate. The Sea Salt Chili chocolate is a must have as it gives you a different experience altogether. A rare combination of chocolate, sea salt and red chili powder! The Dark Belgian Hot Shot was in a shake-form made out of dark chocolate and chocolate fudge. The taste was bitter as well as sweet at the same time!

To start off we tried the Garden Stack, a burger made out of veggie patty with lettuce. The taste was simply amazing and the sweet bun and home-made patty made all the difference. All the burgers are served with a handful of potato chips. The Black Eyed Wheel Pizza is made out of fresh Tomato herb sauce with black olives on top. The pizza was topped with 3 cheeses namely mozzarella, cheddar and parmesan. If you love trying different things then the French Fries with Jalapeno Chocolate Sauce will amaze you. Another rare combination of salty fries with sweet and chili Jalapeno white chocolate sauce.

The Bombay Street Wich had spicy green chutney and filled with cucumber, tomatoes, onions and potatoes. This will take you straight to the streets of Mumbai! On the other hand the Classic Cheese Wich was made with Melted cheese with tomatoes, onions, coriander and chillies is a common household dish. We also tried the Red Thai Curry with Rice, the consistence of the curry was neither too thick nor too watery. The Thai curry was made with Thai chillies giving it a kick and went well with the rice.

Jus’ Trufs being a chocolate house has an amazing range of desserts. We tried the Fresh Fruit Shot, which is a chocolate cup filled with fresh cream and topped with pomegranate seeds, apple and kiwi. This is a one bite dish and everything mixes so well together. The Newyork Cheese Cake with Cherry and Strawberry sauce also turned out to be a filling dish. The cake was topped with Cherry sauce and Strawberry as per your needs. The crumble at the bottom was perfectly baked. Next came the chocolates like the Rocher Noir Hazelnut Gianduja and Almond Flakes, Fresh Truffle, Dark Rum Ganache, Whisky Warmth, Dark Sinful Ganache and the Peanut Crunch. There is a chocolate for everyone and you just need to explore your taste. I personally liked the Peanut crunch and the Rocher Noir Hazelnut Gianduja.

Overall Jus’ Trufs is a nice cozy chocolate house & cafe away from the hassle and bustle of the city where you can enjoy some amazing family dishes and ofcourse their extraordinary range of chocolates. You can also order chocolate gifts for friends and they also take corporate orders. On top of that every few weeks Jus’ Trufs houses in-house shows, chocolate tours and events which cannot be missed.
