The Best Buffet in Town at Deja Vu

Déjà vu Restro Bar is located on the top floor of Gopalan Mall on Bannerghatta Road, Bangalore. The restaurant is known for its value for money buffet and drinks. The price of this buffet varies between Rs. 350 to Rs. 500. The restaurant is quite huge in size and can simply accommodate a large group. The ambiance is retro with posters of famous movies on the walls. The bar is located centrally with a lounge on the back. The lounge has a few tables along with games like pool etc. And when it comes to buffet no one can beat Deja Vu at its game!

We went there to try the Dinner Buffet and we were awestruck with the food. The buffet started with the soup and appetizers. Both these items are served on the table and you need not run anywhere. We tried the Carrot Dhaniya Soup, which was a clear-soup with strong taste of coriander. The number of appetizers in the buffet was simply overwhelming. Had the Crispy Corn, Paneer Tikka, Mushroom Grilled Bread, Corn on a Cob, Grilled Fruit Chat and ofcourse my favorite Salsa Potatoes. The Mushroom Grilled Bread was amazing in taste with a hint of pizza flavor. The Salsa Potatoes were out of the world and I cannot recall how many time I re-ordered it. Can’t wait to go back again and try them again.

We also tried drinks like Good, Bar and Ugly as well as the Hawaiian Punch, Kokum Pocus. The drinks were good. Déjà vu also has cocktails for as low as Rs.99. Don’t forget to try them. The service needs a special mention as the staff members kept on asking about the food and service. The story doesn’t end here, the buffet is quite elaborate and there is plenty for you in the salads, main course and desserts. Don’t forget to try their pasta as I was blow-away with its taste. Superb taste, as I didn’t expect it at all.

There are also few live counters like the Chaats and Chinese where the chef creates amazing dishes right in-front of you. You can choose your base sauce and vegetables to create a completely new dish. The main course has a number of vegetable gravies which can be tried with assorted breads and rice items like pulao, biryani. The Veg Biryani was simply delicious with authentic flavors.

Desserts came next, the spread was again generous. With puddings, cakes, cut fruits, icecreams, roshogulla and even gulab jamun. The Gulab Jamun was super soft and just melted in the mouth. Do try the hot gulab jamun and vanilla icecream combo. The Roshogulla was spongy too. Also tried their brownie with vanilla icecream and the combo was succulent.
