Eat & Drink – Tilt Gastropub

Tilt Gastropub is one of the newest pubs that opened in the Koramangala 5th Block area and is very close to Jyoti Nivas College situated right behind The Black Pearl. The pub is located on the ground floor which is quite easy to explore. As soon as you enter you can find glass floor. The seating arrangement is quite good with a number of seats on the top floor as well. We choose to sit on the top floor close to the DJ. The music was astounding and you could really see people on the dance floor all night long.

We quickly ordered some appetizers, like the Balaaday – Maari Fingers and the Liar Liar Pants on fire. The Maari Fingers were out of the world especially with the tangy Caribbean sauce. A must try. The Stuffed Mushrooms with Cheese were good and went well with the garlic mayo sauce. The service was very slow at the beginning even when the night didn’t really start as of yet.

Next we tried the Asian Fuzzed Up Pizza, a fusion of Italian and Asian flavours. The size of this thin crust Pizza was quite generous and the taste was good. We also ordered the India Hai Rabba salad, a delicious appetizer with chunks of marinated Paneer along with other vegetables. The use of Indian spices can be seen at their best. Again a must try! The chef was kind enough to serve us Salt and Pepper Veggies outside the regular menu. The dish consisted of fresh vegetables like broccoli, babycorn, mushrooms and so on tossed in light soya sauce and pepper.

The drinks menu at Tilt is quite extensive with only a few mocktails. Tried the Ping Pong, Ginger Minjer and Summer Melon. All the mocktails were quite refreshing in taste especially the Ginger Minjer and Summer Melon. The subtle taste of Ginger was amazing whereas the taste of fresh watermelon was stunning respectively.

What was really upsetting was the fact that a non-veg salad was marked as a veg salad. Also as the night progressed the music became louder and louder, though we enjoyed the Bollywood night, but couldn’t have any conversation with other people. And lastly the service really needs to be revamped as the staff had no clue about their own dishes, also found a lack of co-ordination between staff members as we had to repeat our order multiple times.

The Scorecard:-
