The changing Hyderabad

Hyderabad recently undergone a lot of changes in terms of infrastructure. The roads were expanded and the parks were beautified. The reason being CoP-11 or the Convention of Biological Diversity. Yes, Hyderabad has been chosen to host this event from October 1st to 19th. Delegates from all over the world has gathered to make this world as a better place. In short, the arrangements are enormous. The Government has left no stones unturned.

“This meeting will take place during the United Nations Decade on Biodiversity (UNDB) as declared by the United Nations General Assembly. The United Nations Decade on Biodiversity will serve to support and promote implementation of the objectives of the Strategic Plan for Biodiversity and the Aichi Biodiversity Targets. Its goal is to mainstream biodiversity at different levels. Throughout the United Nations Decade on Biodiversity, governments are encouraged to develop, implement and communicate the results of national strategies for implementation of the Strategic Plan for Biodiversity.”
The new face of Hyderabad.
At the peak of this event almost thousands of policemen has been called from the near-by areas to protect the Delegates and make sure the event breaks all previous success records. The roads leading to the venue are blocked for the common men. The traffic are diverted to make sure the delegates reach the venue on time, making sure the traffic is paralyzed at the peak hours. The ones suffering are the commoners. What about the common people of the city, are they not eligible to reach office or home on time?
The real question remains as to understand if these changes and beautification are their to stay or would vanish with the Delegates. If not, the Government has no right to change as they will.
