This Diwali… was different
But this diwali had a very special feeling in itself. I had no list for the firecrackers, and no intention to make one. I just wanted this occasion to pass-by peaceful. All I did was to decorate my home with Lights of different colours and ‘Diyas’ of different shapes.
The sea levels are rising. We can feel the temperatures increasing every year. A decade ago the temperature of Kolkata on the night of Diwali was much cooler than this year. I had to switch on the a/c to sleep. Thousands of cyclones destroying properties worth billions every year. And they have the capability to wipe Human race, and they are getting stronger each year. We need to fear the Natural forces. When they strike they do it with all their force. Many creatures are getting extinct due to the pollutant added in rivers, seas etc.
It make me appeal to everyone to stop polluting the environment . You may ask what will happen if 1 person stops polluting? But that’s not the end goal. If you think straight you may have stopped at least 10 animals from extinction in the long run. Let’s keep in mind to recycle things, waste less paper, food, electricity, petrol.
well done!!!
i never liked burning crackers, ‘coz of the pollution they create!
and this year, none of us burnt any crackers.
Diwali was different for us too!
nice thought..but i cudnt resist the temptaion of fuljharis..hoping myself for a better resolve next time..
I am sure you did more good this Diwali than ever to all of us and the environment.
Many of my friends I knew didn’t burn crackers this year and this really feels good to know that we are finally becoming environmental friendly.
I never liked these crackers for the sound and air pollution they cause. But one diwali sans crackers and with diyas can be great fun too.Right?
Yeah… absolutely true…. when u decorate your house with diyas and light…. it looks so beautiful!! Almost the most beautiful site ever….
