The best of Bombay Adda

Bombay Adda – Bangalore is the first franchise outside Bombay from this house. Located in the heart of Bangalore very close to Sapna Book House, Koramangala. The place is located on the top two floors of the building. You can walk through the lane and experience Bombay in a graffiti. Once inside the décor is just royal. This place is spread over two floors, while the upper floor is opened in the evenings and has a much large seating capacity. With dim lights and iron chains it gives the perfect mix. Just be amazed with the selfie wall and the Worli Sealink here.

The menu here is mostly fusion taking the experience to the next level. The bar is huge and we tried the Bombay Adda Brew and the Masala Narangi. The Bombay Adda Brew is made with peach marmalade, thyme and house beer enhanced with orange, lime and bitters. Though we don’t like cocktails with beer but this one was a clear exception. The Masala Narangi is curated with Orange juice, cinnamon, ginger, agave syrup and decorated with fresh kaffir lime leaf. Just awesome!

Most of the food at Bombay Adda is fusion with a base of a Bombay dish. We had the Hummusa is three part dish with Samosa on top of a layer of Hummus and burghul. The samosa itself was out of the world. But the combination of samosa with Hummus and burghul kinda mellowed it down and gave a very different taste! Next, we tried the Achari flavoured Cottage cheese Skewers. This dish contains a large piece of paneer which is coated with achar flavored papad and then deep fried. Crunchy and savory!

Next, we had the T4 – Taka Tak Thepla Tacos topped with Paneer Tikka. A messy eat but delicious and unique with the combination of a gravy of paneer tikka over thepla. The Chhole Bunny Chao is another interesting yet messy eat. Chole gravy is poured over a bun. The chola were amazingly delicious. We were so full by then that we only ordered the Veg Biryani with Salan and Raita. This Hyderabadi biryani was super delicious. The presentation makes it so interesting.

We still had room for some desserts. The Philadelphia baked Cheesecake with berry compote and caramel on top was awesome. Never knew chocolate cake and cheesecake can go so well together. The Classic Tiramisu was simply classical with dust of cocoa on top!

Just to note that the portion size at Bombay Adda are huge. Some of the dishes are a bit messy but that what make them so unique and delicious! Bindas hoke khao!
