The Globe Grub – Buffet at its best

The Globe Grub is one of the newest buffet places in Marathalli, Bengaluru. As the name suggest they house multiple global cuisines in their menu to give their customers a great experience. The ambiance is different and exotic something that we haven’t seen anywhere else. The décor is made of wood with black ropes (around 10kms in length) and the walls are filled with large posters. The Globe Grub has been created with the idea to serve food from different regions of the world.

The spread for the buffet is decent and included Indian, Chinese, Italian among others. There is even an in-house oven for baking pizza’s. We tried the buffet ourselves and were impressed with the taste. The liquor license is still pending but you do get to try a complimentary mocktail with the buffet. We started with the Veg Hakka Soup which is served with crunchy fried noodles on top. The starters are served on the table which is a great way to start off.

We had the Crispy Corn, Malai Badami Broccoli, Peshwari Paneer Tikka, Potato Cheese Croquettes, Tandoori Gulisthan, Mongolian Style Veg Dimsum and the Crumb Fried Mushrooms. Some of the most delicious appetizers includes the Malai Badami Broccoli which was cooked to perfection with a lot of chilies. The Mongolian Veg Dimsum were soft from the outside and crunchy from inside and they were delicious. And don’t forget to try the Crumb Fried Mushrooms, fried to perfection with a cheesy mushroom inside!

For their in-house oven we couldn’t resist to try their Paneer Pizza and the Mix Veg Pizza. The thin crust pizza was baked perfectly. Loved the Mix Veg Pizza as it had Paneer, colored Capsicum, broccoli and herbs on top. Don’t miss it! You will also find a live Pasta counter after this week for all Pasta lovers. Most of the folks move directly to the desserts, but we tried a bite of the main course as well. There were couple of Indian gravies that we tried, but the mix veg curry and dal makhani stood out among all. We also had Veg Biryani which was spicy.

The desserts are not be missed as they have a wide range of them. The best was the Carrot Halwa which is made with desi ghee and dry fruits. There is a nostalgic feeling after eating that halwa. There is also a live ice cream counter where you can customize your favorite desserts. Along with a wide range of pastries and Indian desserts.

Overall, the buffet is reasonable priced compared to the spread and the taste of the food.
