The Best Buffet in Town – Absolute Barbecues

With the third outlet in their bounty, Absolute Barbecues is going big in Bangalore. The newest location is in Whitefield close to Vydehi Hospital or just before the BTMC Bus stand. It was a bit difficult for us to find the place for the first time since it didn’t exist in Google Maps. The outlet is on the 2nd floor of the building, but, once inside the space is huge just like other outlets. The ambiance is lively and even though the outlet was open only couple of days ago, it was jam packed!

Some of the other amazing buffet options are Nook – Aloft, Nimisserie

Absolute Barbecues is known for its amazing buffet spread and they do it with all their heart. The spread comprises of live barbecue on the table, a complimentary drink, a host of starters, multiple main courses, few live counters for grilling or chaats and ofcourse the desserts counter. They sometimes even add more counters or dishes based on the occasion. What is even more amazing is the staff who are always looking for feedback and serve you in the best way possible.

For our lunch, we had the grilled mushrooms, paneer tikka, grilled veggies like corn, sweet potato, pineapple and much more on the live grill. You can customize each of these items based on your likings of spices, dips or oils. If that was not enough you get a bunch of starters like Crispy Corn, Cajun Potatoes, Grilled Pineapples, Dahi ke Sholay and the list goes on. My personal favorite is the Cajun Potatoes as it is both tangy as well as crispy. The sauce used on top is simply amazing. The Dahi Ke Sholay are actually dahi ke kebab and are made in a different way here. These are deep fried and then cut into two pieces and topped with some chat masala and tamarind chutney.

When it comes to the live counters we tried the Pani Puri and Dahi Puri, both the items were so so and could have been better. But on the other hand, the live tawa counter makes some delicious dishes either from noodles or rice. You can choose your preferred sauce for the dish. We tried a fried rice with exotic veggies and mustard sauce. Superb!

Once you have all these, there is a very limited possibility that you will reach out for the main course. I did try a bite of all the curries. The Special AB’s Dal was out of the world and I kept on eating it and finished my bowl. You can order bread of your choice. They even have Curd Rice and Biryani. AB’s keep on changing these curries daily and always have another cuisine besides Indian food like Chinese or Italian to compliment.

Some of the folks jump straight to desserts after their sumptuous starters. Right from Firni to Fruits, Jalebi to Ice-cream, they have it all. The desserts counter has smaller counters for live ice-cream or live jalebi etc. We tried the Pan Ice-cream from the ice-cream counter and it was fantastic! The staff were kind enough to make a special chocolate cake and ice-cream dessert for us.

Absolute Barbecues is here to mesmerize you with the delicious spread of grilled food, starters and desserts. On top of that the staff execute their role perfectly, to make sure every customer is happy and that’s what drives people like me to some here again and again. Go enjoy your meal!
