Indian Education Scrapper

I was happy when people used to call me ‘Geek’. Wiki’s definition “a peculiar or otherwise odd person, especially one who is perceived to be overly obsessed with one or more things including those of intellectuality, electronics, etc” and my obsession was Computers. From the first 286 processor to the latest Core duo processor i have seen all the generations of its brain. My family saw me and stamped me as a future engineer in the making (same way as Farhan in ‘3 idiots’). I just loved breaking into the circuits of any device like chokes, heaters, music player, CPU’s, even my piano. In no time those magnificent machines were reduced to scrap. I stopped when I once got a shock from my expedition into the TV. It just blasted off leaving me black for a minute.

Indian Education

So I joined an engineering college, thinking that I would again continue with my experiments. But passed out without doing a single trail on my beloved. Isn’t that strange? I mean yes they won’t give a expensive processor to break and junked. But still. Indian Education system really needs to change. Don’t you think we should be more practical based then to read data that are no longer significant. What do you say?

Agree with u….. our systems really do not concentrate on imparting knowledge in the technical sense..

they just concentrate on theories n not its application……

even the students who are interested in the subjects may get disinterested due to the way of teaching…..or the way of xams…. ohh..I can go on n on n on abt the education system..

  5. @Urvashi : Ya its really a good time to change the centuries old system. New technologies, new methods should be introduced. I totally agree with you.

The education system in India needs to be more student-centric and should be more practically designed to cater to the needs of the time.
